The Puli is a small to medium breed of Hungarian herding descent. It is a guarding dog. It has long, “dreadlocks” corded coat. When the coat id fully mature it makes for an amazing sight.
The Puli or more correctly a Pulik, it is an agile intelligent dog. They are used as police dogs in hungary. They were also used as sheepdogs. There temperament also makes them excellent companions.
Some owners choose to clip the coats to help keep the dog cool in hot weather
They are reasonably intelligent, agile dogs. Despite their bulky appearance and very thick coat they are very fast, agile and able to change directions instantly they and are obedient enough to train for athletic competition.
The Puli is sensitive, fun loving, courageous, but also at times tough and headstrong.
